Something New?

So I was thinking ...

Why not make the titles be something meaningful or for them to make complete sentences. Dun right? (= I think it's an interesting idea. So I might start it off next month, just to see if it works. Lol. Oh yeah, I've finally wrote on this blog daily for 2 months. Great right? I'm hopeful that this will still continue, I mean I would hate to leave this blog you know? )= Now I was thinking of also making another blog for friends to write in. (=

So far I was thinking of asking:
Donna
Paty
Nikki
&maybe people that Paty knows. (=

I don't know, but anyway. I must get going. I really need the sleep really. I mean ... I really miss my hours of sleep. Jaaa.

Grown Up Yet?

So I've been thinking: "What is to be a full grown up?"

I've came up with two main ideas that could probably answer my question above: College Students and Paying the Bills.

Okay so let's start with thee old saying: "I finally have my own place! Away from parents!" This is resulting to College dorms (for me at least). Yes, its sad but true. Once you go to a far away college, you will have to separate from the dear old family, friends, and boy/girlfriend. So depressing, but students will soon forget about it once the 'parties' and the 'let's stay up late' comes around the corner. It's fun to get away from the strict family that always tend to call to know where you are. Now in dorms you have your own personal lives and individuality. But to live far away from home where parents are not there, is really to be grown up? My opinion may not matter to most, but this is what I think ... No m'lovely's. You don't become a true grown up by just living in your own. Actually ... the SCHOOL is taking care of you m'dear. You're being pampered and paying thousands of dollars for this. You're right you do live far away from the house gaining your own independence. However, you'll have to go back home once Thanksgiving, Winter break, spring break, and summer comes. Funny right? You're not even a full adult yet. So I laugh at this. You may think that you can finally be a grown up, but truthfully in my eyes ... you have a LOONG way to go. <3

Now, if you live alone (no parents, maybe live with a partner?) and pay your long await bills waiting for you on your desk. Then I consider you a full adult (kinda). You have a job, you know the responsibility of saving money and not spending it while asking for more from parents. Then I can see you are responsible and have the greater independence by paying bills with your own money from your job. (= So welcome to the adult hood in my eyes.

So anyway, enough talk about this "grown up" stuff. let's talk about my day, because i feel selfish right now. (= haha i'm always selfish! anyway, english class was pretty weird. I don't know how, but it just was. Japanese class was fun, except that the girl named Cherry is a bit stuck up. Kinda rude too. What a bitch. :\ Just kidding, but she was rude when we were practicing the dialogs. I mean we shouldn't just practice once only. She can't really pronounce some words too. =\ oh well, i know now to work with the korean guy instead! x] Eeto... I was terrified during astronomy class. someone in the beginning of the class had some medical problems, something similar to a stroke. I felt dizzy and shaky afterwards. I mean everybody knew that she had some sort of illness and I have to say ... it was a scary scene for me. Sigh... I really can never be a nurse or a doctor. It sucks butt, but I'm also scared of hospitals. Yuuck. I cannot stand them... the smell is too stong for me to handle. Oh well, maybe when i give birth I won't mind it. That or I might faint. LOL So after that I saw Ruthie on my way home. She complained about going to Skyline and is probably transferring to City next year or semester. Then I saw Donna, who also said about transferring to City. o_O; Wow, I ask myself: why? LOL.

Uugh. I'm really confused on which school to transfer. I know it's another year to wait, but it's a good head start no? The list goes in order: UCSC/USC, UCIrvine, SJSU, or some school in Great Britain. Why UK/GB/Whatever? Well ... I really don't like the economy in America right now. I really really don't. Sad right? Yeeeah. Oh well, let's see what the future has for me. I'm hopeful that it will be something not so bad and something i may like. But sometimes fate doesn't like it like that and is on the way. x] Yaaaawr.

Ah must get going. Fuego en la Sangre is on! <33 I love this show so bad... LOL.
Yeah, I think one of the guys is hot, too bad he's like what? 35 years old? LOL!

Full Metal Alchemist 2

So I guess I'm a big Full Metal Alchemist Fan...

Maybe not. I mean I'm not a fangirl or anything like that. Or am I? Anyway, the point is, is that there will a new Full Metal Alchemist TV Anime probably next year in 2009. Sweet right? Well for me yes, for you? You probably don't even care, but I sure do so this is why I'm posting it. This manga is probably the first manga that had a very interesting and addicting first chapter. I mean usually I have to wait if I like the characters or even the plot. And this is one of the rarest manga (for me) to have this ability to catch my attention. I guess it first started with Edward Elric, the main protagonist, who walks in the desert complaining. Then a funny scene begins when his younger brother, Alphones Elric, is below him due to the sand. In the end Ed chases Al for getting filled with sand. Oh yeah, his younger brother is a suit of armor, which was odd, but cool at the same time. Hmm... yeah that's pretty much how it got my attention. Wow, I feel like a stupid person falling for comedy. LOL. Yeah ... I admit I feel stupid right now... Oh well. Here's a small Omake that I kinda thought it represented FMA. Fuck. That is so true now that I think about it. Hey, it's still a good series! (=

So anyway. I'm excited to see this newer version of the Anime. I mean the original one was good and all, but I really prefer the manga plot. I really cannot wait and see the people from Xing. Ling Yao, Fan Ran, and Mei are some awesome characters that I wished they were in the original TV Series. Damn it. I really want to see and hear who will play the voice actors for them. Haha, hopefully Tomokazu Seki will play Ling Yao. He did Kyo Sohma (Fruit Baskets) and Chichiri (Fushigi Yuugi). I really like his voice. x] Hopefully Ling will have his voice also! Haha. So yeah ... I really can't wait for the next chapter either. I mean ... It got to the point where I wish to almost kill the author for not making the chapter longer. I swear the chapters are like 40 something pages, but I still want more damn it. Only way to entertain myself is reading New Naruto chapters which are getting rather boring... Hmm, maybe I should read Chronicles of Tsubasa all over again to entertain myself until next month which is awesome! (= <33 Yeeeah. Stupid FMA chapters are updated once a month. I really sucks but the plot gets better. Hmm..

Shit.

I have to finish my essay. Getting too distracted. Fuck.

That or play Mario Galaxy. I swear I think I'm almost done with it. I mean ... I hope. Geer. So besides FMA2. Life has been a bit depressing. I really really cannot wait till midterms. Darns, have to wait 2-3 more weeks till Midterms start. I thank god that he made winter. Longer nights and shorter days. Woot! <33

Being a T.A has changed now...

Hey I don't mind now not having to do anything in class besides copy stuff, get books for the kids, or print out things. Screeeew that.

So anyway, last Saturday I went with Marbin's parents to go to UCM to visit Marbin. Thus, I didn't get to meet the CCD class that I would be having. I have to say ... 14 girls and 3 boys. I really really pity the boys. But then again, they're in like what? 2nd grade? 3rd grade? So they can still talk to girls. Unless they believe the cooties thing. Haha; that WOULD be funny for me to see.

However, the meaning of Teachers Aid of being laid back and just sitting waiting for the teacher to order some stuff from you are gone. GONE.

Now both Sister Alice and I have to split the class for 30 min for me to teach them. Fun right?

No not really.

I don't exactly know what to teach them so I'm pretty much screwed. Prayers? Hell the way I see it 80% of the class already knows their prayers the others are just to lazy and won't really know. Sad right? But it happened to me when I was a young!

But you know what? My beginning year of being a T.A; I was pretty much the teacher. That class was the most noisiest class I ever got. I thank god, Bonnie Faye was with me that year. I really do. <33 Second year of being a T.A, I pretty much missed almost half of the classes. I damn Senior year, but whatever. Everything is cool now. This year is kind of an "okay" type of class. So now I have to prepare a lesson plan for November. Right now I'm thinking ... What have I gotten myself into?

Oh well...

I mean I have to admit. This is better than being a lazy ass waiting for people to order you around. x]

I think I might have them draw the Holy Family and tell a story that relates to Communion. Yeah, preparation for Communion is no easy task yo. (= But I love it.

Bus 43

Okay so it seems that every thrusday I see the look alike Marbin in this bus. Damn it, I kinda wish Marbin went to Academy of Arts, then he wouldn't live so far away. Blah. Oh well, at least that guy really reminds me of him. Kinda cool. ^^ but I still miss
him so much. Sigh...

Well, he knows this. I'm glad he does though. <33

Boredom

Astronomy Test - 75
Hiragana Test - 97

So I'm not really happy with my Astronomy test, but it was way better than most. I saw a lot of 60's and 70's. I'm actually proud of myself that I even passed. I mean I'm bad at science here, but I passed with an average C. Very proud. Usually I would get a 45-60 points out of 100 and revisit. So yeah, I'm happy that I did good. Although I know where I screwed up and damn I should have noticed it. LOL. Overall I'm happy, and I'll keep up a positive attitude in this class in order to succeed. Haha.

So during English class I was talking a lot to Danny. It seems that his parents are big Fen Shui fans, and it just creeps the poor guy out. I don't quite remember how this conversation started though ... oh yeah! Teacher was talking about it randomly and I just looked at him smiling. All he did was ...

Danny: Wtf? Why are you staring at me? Huh? Stereotyping me? HUH!?

Haha. That was a LOL moment for me. He thought I was filipino... Marbin rubbed on me. Do I seriously look filipino? But yeah ... English wasn't so eventful. Heh; he blamed me for making him do work in class. Yeah... I kinda forced him to CORRECT my paper or else. (= At least I got it proofread? Yeey? Fatima i like. x] She's so nice and polite, just like Shaina.

Japanese class was interesting. I met a new girl named Sora, she knows her stuff quite well. I'm glad that she pointed out my mistakes. So yeeey! Also Vivi is too polite, but very nice. Matsumura-sensei likes picking on these Chinese girls for being too ... talkative. I mean I have to agree ... I am trying to listen, but they talk to much. )'=

Sigh ... I wish Marbin was home now. I really can't wait for mideterms, I mean I'll get to see him during thanksgiving. However, I want to see him NOW. Yeah, I'm spoiled. But this is just so hard... I think I admire those people who are in a long distance relationship. Like ... it takes courage and love to keep them together. Oh wow, I'm comparing myself as a lover person. Aaah. Idk. I just want him home. I swear if he starts to drink, I will personally kill him with these hands. But then I need him. Aurgh. I miss him so so much. Oh well, I told him already. I'm never going to transfer to Merced. .___.; Sorry mate. I'll stick to UCSC or maybe USC with pattu!<33

Ano... I really want to transfer to UCSC or SJSU. Why? Because I want to. That's what son! (=
Or maybe someplace near pati's school. Lol!

I cannot stand watching birth.

All the blood, the baby, the screaming.

It's just ... frightening. Men have it lucky kinda.

Uuugh.

Tests&Schedule

Japanese Hiragana - 90%
Astronomy Test - 85%

I really hope these are my grades on the tests that I just took today. I just have to find out on Wednesday sadly. I mean I studied Hiragana for like a week now, so I should have no problem with reading and writing it. Okay maaybe writing it. I suck at strokes really bad. LOL. & yet look at Marbin asking me to take Mandarin during the summer. (/swt) I will suck so bad, that Marbin and the teacher will actually have to HIT me to get the strokes right. Sht. If calligraphy was open, I would have taken it, but nooo the damn class was full. Ugh. I'll take it on my very last semester.

Now Astronomy I like. I like very much. Wanna know why? No math involved really. I mean yeah yeah; Newtons Universal Law of Gravity (and the infamous 3 Laws), Hubble's Law, Stefan - Boltzmann Law, and Keplers 3 Laws are all based on math. But hey, they're pretty easy when you don't have to plug in the numbers. I have to admit though;

Fe = 6 T^4

Boltz law is hard. Oh yeah, it's not supposed to be a six really, more like a swirly thing that represents "constant". I still have a hard time using that equation, but the teacher says we're only going to use it once more for the semester and that's it. (/swt) She's a math person, but doesn't want us to use math. Which is weird, but cool at the same time. Yeah, that bloody equation made my poor head hurt. So
anyway, like I was saying *coughcough* I hope I pass this first test. )'= I really do... I've sucked at almost all sciences because they use some type of math, and I just don't get it. LOL. Physics was awesome, but I was stuck on math parts. Siiiiiigh. DAMN it. I wish I had Marbin or Justin's brains in this. Haha... Oh yeah, I got a fking 95/100 on my hwk. It pissed me off. But I think she graded it wrong, I'm not sure. I have to check. Ugh. The very first hwk was 99/100. Just because I missed one STUPID vocab word. Ugh!

I think during the summer I might take:
Anatomy/Physics (Depends on what Marbin wants because he has to take it with me! Yeey!)
English
Math
Tennis/ Badminton/ Archery/ Dance

Over the Spring hopefully;
English
Math
Political Science
Psychology
Japanese
Maybe; Latin American Studies or Calligraphy

Yeah... I'm so weird planning stuff. I need to talk to the counselor soon too or more like it's advised to talk. (/swt) Anyway onto more social life!

I got lost at the Student Union building. That's about it, but I noticed they have a nice view of Daly City and Balboa Bart station. Haha! (= Oh yeah, I met someone with the same birthday as me. His name is Daniel, I think he's japanese I'm not sure. I mean ... he doesn't know Chinese New Years, so that cuts off a good amount of asia. Umm ... maybe he's korean, but then again he knows a lot of japanese dishes. Screw it I'll label him "Unknown Japman". Mean ... but it's the truth! Haha, Danny is cute and funny, he's so stupid sometimes and makes this face that you want to point at and say "You little kid!" Yeeeah. Then theres Fatima, she's the SUPER nice latina person I've met so far. Ghetto, but she's nicer than most. Sheina's cool, but I think I'm over hearing that's she's starting to sell her own CD? That's kinda cool. :D Too bad i'm no musician, haha. Oh yeah, Shelly looked so cute today with her hair down! X] it was a "kyaaaaaa" moment.

The more I meet people, the more I miss Marbin. )'= It's sad, but it's true. I actually miss seeing him bossing his little brother around and also seeing him when he's SO concentrated on an online game (he looks so cute! ). Yeah ... sad. Hopefully I get my lazy ass to study the drivers book and learn how to drive to Merced. Only problem is is that... I'm afraid to go there alone. LOL! Damn hicktown. ]< *sadsad*

Did you know...

Did you know that we wont see our Sun die until 8.3 min later?

Cool right?

Maybe...

So like ... I'm starting to wonder how the Big Bang was the Big Bang since there was nothing before. Scary right? Maybe... I don't know you know? Haha, darn its!

Oh yeah, got into a big fight with senpai today. Really, really big fight. But somehow, we made up. So it's a wtf. O_o;

[20:28] Maru Senpai: Himechi wa maru no kanajo desu.

/swt
I'm literally confused now. Maybe he didn't mean it LOL. Well no eventful day today. Oh wells~

Niiiiight~

Jerk.

Haha, I'm bored so I put on that title. Don't mind it, I'm not calling you a jerk. Or am I? :]

Anyway, I feel HORRIBLE. I screwed up my Japanese test, but hella got a B+'s on my English Essay and Hiragana Test. Awesome right? However, after the test I began to study once again on wa and no. Sht. I should have taken Japanese 1 not 1A. Oh well ...

I have English class with this one guy, who I totally did not know who the hell he was at first (i'm such a bad classmate lol ... ). The main point is is that he was cute and funny. His name is Daniel, funny chinese boy who makes fun of his own race. /swt Then again at the same time he's so overprotective of his own race too. Weird ... but he's cool. Nope, no crushes yet! : D

Thank goodness. <3

So Japanese class I met this girl named Vivi, she's sooo cute. & that's about it. LOL. Kain is such a drama queen. xD; He's always in his DS and mumbling to himself about his day. He's cool though, but can be a drama queen too ^^;

Astronomy got me thinking ... how the hell did the Big Bang happen. Well not like how, more like WHY. In the beginning there is empty space, nothing was born. I mean NOTHING. then suddenly out of nowhere two atoms pop out and create the big bang. It just doesn't make sense. How the hell did they pop out of nowhere? Literally nowhere. Still so confused about it ... aaah must study for the upcoming test. Oh well.

Oh yeah, tomorrow I'm visiting Marbin! Yeeeey~ <33

I'm very very happy. I even got him Quickly's which is a wtf right? Taro Milk Tea, hopefully he'll like it and give me a big hug for it. :] That's all folks. Going to Serramonte and buy me a jacket. ^^

Bye-Bye.

Wednesday, September 17, 2008

Chinatown

So like, I like Chinatown because it has very cheap food. (=

Today I went to the Quickly's in Geniva and Mission. Sadly it was close, both Karen and I were supposed to hang out there. Oh well ... so instead we went to Chinatown and had lunch there. I feel full still. LOL. Our meal was under 4 dollars. We bought Quickly's and went to Little Paris i think? Yeah, a good lunch worth 3 bucks. So yeeey. (=

I plan to buy Pokey tomorrow for Marbin. xD

So eventful day. I want this jacket and muffler so bad. Also this one beige hat. raawr. Lol.

3hrs

I waited for Tenten 3hrs at bart, so that I can give him a Taro Milk Tea and to ask if he could tell his mom if I can go with them on Saturday. -Sad-

My butt hurts from sitting on that stone thingy. Uuugh. T__T;

Trips!

I want to go back to Japan. D<

I want to go back to the hot springs really bad, not to mention Shibuya and Akihabara. I miss the magical music on the trains. Lol. Oh well, hopefully, just HOPEFULLY Me, Pati, Maru, and maybe Justin can go in summer of 2011. (= Maaaaybe.

Then again I don't think Marbin's mom or Justin's parents will let them go with out "teacher supervision" haha.

Then that leaves me and pati. And maybe other people too who would like to join and save moneh! Let's fund raise! D< We'll go look for the cheapest places to sleep in! And cheapest places to visit too...

Also to pati's question .... it's both a yes and a no. really. xD;

HI LIGHT! (= You know PHOTONS? Lol..

Meetings

English class was fine. I screwed up on my Japanese test. Then came lunch ...

So Keiko had asked me to meet her at the library for me to check up on her paper and see some grammar mistakes. So I did my best and we caught up, I later on met Naho (who is also a Japanese international student). She wants to be an accountant which is a wow for me. That must be tough. ('=

Yeah we went to the city cafe and ordered food since we got hungry. We talked about Full Metal Alchemist, Hakone, Kyoto, and Larc~en~Ciel. Yeah all three of us are pretty much Jrock fans. O_o; awesome. haha. Then we left to our classes. It was nice meeting Naho, she's super preppy and kind. (= Preppy in a good way? Lol. Keiko is more hmmm fashionable and awesome? (= I'm just normal. LOL.

Umm...yeah. My arm hurts. Watching Weeds with brother not to long ago. Now I'm sleepy. x]

Democrats vs. Republicans

So let's see...

Democrats;
- Basically they lie about things too, NOT just Republicans man. =__=; shit get your facts straight. Government and political parties LIE to get your vote shit heads. =) No matter if they're "good" or "bad".

- Huge money spenders. DUH. .___.;

- PROCHOICE. Okay I understand pro choice and why to choose it, but fking dicks like Gay LIBERAL Men shouldn't be protesting. (= MEN can't have babies, YOU MEN shouldn't protest at all. During walk for life I saw 80% of men protesting and the rest women. What BUNCH of idiots. :'D I used to be prochoice, but now I'm prolife, so shut it you, I know why you rather have prochoice, please don't give me bull that I don't know crap. Hah, what happened to all these feminist huh? D< WEAK. (jkjk)

- Cannot deal with foreign affairs. You see the war in Vietnam? Did you know Clinton bombed an African building during the late 90's? JFK and Clinton, were no heros. ='D JFK was to the science people, but that's it. xD Oh yeah, Democrats also took part of screwing up S. America. <33

- Arrogance. Oh yeah, they team up on ONE single republican person thinking they are the best. Pfft. XD!! I thought they were Democratic, you know DEMOCRACY? Were people are allowed to think what they WANT and not bash them? I should bash them liberals now. : DD <33

- Hilary Clinton is a WHORE. Lol personal opinion here. So doesn't really count. <33 What a lying bish she was sold out to corporations in the mid 90's about health care. LOL. Bish~ She took the money instead of actually doing Free Health Care. ('= And yet you people wanted her as President. LOL. :D

Republicans;
- They lie, like any other party. DUH. xD

- ProLife. Hmm, I really, REALLY, hate people saying they're prolife when they are with me because I'm catholic (my religion doesn't have to do with anything yah know? I just CHOOSE prolife because of personal reasons not my religion. /swt). Also men are just URGH in this. Quit screwing around damn it! D< Keep your little friend INSIDE where it's supposed to be! Grrr...

- Foreign Affairs is just ugh. Sorry, but because someone bombed your country doesn't mean that people of a certain race should be discriminated. Japanese, Middle East people, Mexicans, and even Cubans. /swt Truthfully how the fuck did Mexico get involved into this? o_O; Same with Iraq? Wasn't the big deal in Afghanistan? Sigh...

- Money spenders once again~

- Pride. Too much pride in this party, haha, they just keep repeating and repeating history once again. Lol... Sometimes they don't even see it.

Oh yeah, you may think. Wow, you dislike these parties because of THIS? I say, NO DUH. Small issues can be big issues, their past events are also big issues. If there is "change" in this upcoming elections, then I'm thinking:

-Obama might get assassinated. Why? There is STILL racism in this country, I say. Not yet. Let there be a black president in the future, but not yet. People are too ... UGH. They can't change instantly.

- If we do get McCain. Let's prepare NOT to use cars and go on public transportation. Be aware that the Major that you pick should be related to Business. History, Liberal Arts, ect. those kinds of majors will soon vanish. Nothing with these majors will get you anywhere. Tw T; sorry...? Jobs are currently vanishing too... so I mean it's a possibility.

This is why I'm socialist republic kinda... I'm for the working class that are currently struggling in this country's situation. That or I could be Parliamentary Republic supporter, something similar to G.B or Spains government. o_O; /swt

CCD

So today I went to ccd at 9:30 for the first ccd mass. It was interesting... I met two more people that go to CCSF. Haha, Ramylle Gache and Ronel Mallari. They're cool guys, soft spoken but hey what can you do with that fragile voice of theirs. xD Haha, yeah. They're nice guys; one is older than me and the other is the same age as me. Lol. Oh yeah, I saw little Jansen. Hehe, he's so cute for a 15-16 year old. I asked where "Mom" (Tita MeryRose) was and he answered: "How would I know? I don't even know your mom!" Haha, so cute! <33

Umm, went to B&N and like I saw this guy. He looks REALLY REALLY familiar ... but i don't know from where. So I didn't talk to that dude. I swear he looked familiar ... but anyway got a cool book called Color of the Sea. Pretty interesting so far ... I took at least 1.5-2hrs to find and BUY a book. Siiigh... Damn it. )=

After that uneventful hours. I walked up the hill and saw Kelsey, one of my best friends, little sister. So I talked to them for about 30 mins about the death of my aunty and the scam that happened to our house back in Mexico. Yeah... so much to talk about. x] I'll get to see Baby Jaden soon. So yeeey! xD

That's all about it ... oh yeah watch this!

Hilarious I say. This song was put on the OC when I don't know her name shot a guy. I laughed at the original part and this parody.

I lost.

I think I lost two people.

One I think hates me or thinks of me as an annoying prat. I don't mean to... I just want to chat with him because I dun't know? Also I'm helping him to gain back the friendship with my best friend, I mean I'm not forcing my best friend to talk, but just saying that he shouldn't be rude and too keep a good friendship. Man I feel like I get treated like crap... Oh well, maybe I deserve it. I shouldn't have stuck my nose into things even if they are sometimes good or bad. Screw it, I'll just be my preppy self and if that person thinks i'm a prat then so be it. Whatever. (=

Now I'm also loosing the friendship of Nikki. Good friend in High School, and I supported her with so many stuff that I agreed with. I dunno. Oh well, time moves on and i'll keep those friends close. Or I mean try to, like really hard. )'=

Washington
New York

States I would never EVER go to;

Florida
Georgia

Yep, that's all for today. (=
Trying to figure out how to use No and Wa in japanese. BLAH.
Holy ... I just remembered about September 11, 2001? or 2000 >>; SOMEWHERE around there. :D So yeah ... everybody at english class forgot about the important event that happened a few years ago. So yeah ... I forgot about Sept. 11, although I still feel sad about people dying ... I think they shouldn't over do it. As if it was the BIGGEST event on earth, because it wasn't. -____-;

Uuuugh. Nighmares suck. )=

I don't know WHY nightmares come anyway. I hate nightmares... BLAH.

Nothing to post, but I turned in my fking essay. : D <33 I HATE Essays. LOL, but I guess it's good to write them once in a while. : )

A trip to the beginning of the universe

So here's an article have fun with it. I just found it today. (=

A trip to the beginning of the universe

* Audio: Large Hadron Collider set to be turned on (AM)

In temperatures colder than outer space, massive streams of protons will hurtle in opposite directions through a 27-kilometre long tunnel beneath Geneva later today, in an attempt to learn more about how the universe began.

The atom-smashing Large Hadron Collider is designed to replicate the moment after the Big Bang, thrilling the scientists and engineers who have laboured for years to build it 100m beneath the surface on the Swiss-French border.

It is quite simply a $9 billion genesis machine.

By injecting concentrated beams of protons into the machine and watching them collide, scientists are striving to reveal more about the greatest event in history - the birth of the universe, the moment when everything we can see and measure, all the matter and electricity that makes up the stars and planets, was the size of a basketball, the scientists say.

One of the four places where the particles collide is called ATLAS. It weighs 7,000 tonnes, and has more steel than the Eiffel Tower.

At 25m high and nearly as long as an Olympic pool it is a unique mix of heavy engineering and cutting edge computing.

Detectors surround the collision chamber and track the smashed remains that mimic the very first moments after the Big Bang.

Aldo Saavedra is a theoretical physicist from Sydney University. He is one of the thousands of scientists around the world who helped design this project.

"It's almost like the Apollo mission, where you're looking at every component, [seeing] if its working correctly," he said..

And he says it is just as significant as a landing on the moon.

"In terms of discovery it is, because it's something we don't see [often,] you only discover one thing in a life time, in the lifetime of the universe."

God particle

At full beam intensity the particles will be shooting through pipes at the rate of 22,000 times every second. For the computers, that is like trying to listen to 50 billion phone calls all at once.

The smashed particles shoot off in every direction and the computers and their detectors try to track them.

The massive pile of data they generate is equivalent over one year to a stack of Bibles seven kilometres high, it is estimated.

One particle they hope to find is called the Higgs boson or the god particle. No one has yet proved it exists.

But it is fundamental to the theories of physics that define so much of what we think we know about the basic building blocks of the universe

One way to think of the god particle, is to imagine any chunk of space in the universe as a very large barrel, full of a type of honey.

Even in a vacuum this syrup of god particles drags on elementary particles like electrons, so they gather mass as they move.

Large-scale science

More than 100 years ago the electron was discovered in a table top experiment. Today the task requires the biggest scientific instrument of all time, to probe the tiniest things in nature.

Just as the builders of the ancient cathedrals of Europe called on the best and brightest of their age, this modern temple of our time requires collaboration from close to 10,000 scientists from more than 50 countries.

Emmanuel Tsesmelis is the senior Australian scientist on the project. He showed us around the spare parts of 'pipe', explaining why so much time, effort and money is required.

"You cannot just go to Coles supermarket and buy the Higgs boson. There's a lot of development to be done," he said.

"It's only at the end of the day - the end of the day is now - that we can exploit all that effort that we've been dreaming of for the past decades.

"What we're trying to do is nothing more than trying to piece together how the universe is built up.

"It's an endeavour which is of interest to all of us, and we all love doing it at some level, we all try to understand what is happening around us. [But] we're just doing it perhaps at a deeper level, a more finer, finite, dimension. It's nothing more than that."

For many, this is the most profoundly spiritual structure of our time. But you sometimes hear people ask whether there any tangible benefits. The answer is yes.

Spin-off benefits

Like the space program, there are technological spin-offs. And CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, which is responsible for the machine, can make one particularly spectacular boast.

In 1989, British scientist Sir Tim Berners-Lee invented a way for the physicists at CERN to share information more easily over their computers.

He had in fact created a revolution in our life time. His work laid the foundation for the world wide web, the basic interface we use on the internet.

With so much data generated by this experiment, scientists here have helped create a worldwide network of computers called the GRID, an extra layer placed on top of the internet, using it to share computing power.

Another possible discovery from the firing up of the large hadron collider could be dark matter.

When we look at the universe and calculate the movements of stars and galaxies, the mathematical models tell us that there is a massive amount of our universe that we cannot see.

In fact physicists think we can only detect 5 per cent of what is out there. This is dark matter. But with this experiment, what we can't see could at last be revealed.

And there is another dream result scientists hope for from this experiment: to bring together two currently incompatible theories of physics.

On the one hand, Einstein's theory of Relativity and gravity tells us a lot about planets and galaxies. On the other hand, Quantum Mechanics tells us a lot about sub-atomic particles - how electrons, neutrons and positrons behave.

This experiment could be the first step towards some sort of Theory of Everything - a very simple basic rule that governs everything that we know about.

But even before the switch is pulled, this project has had its share of controversy.

It is possible the machine could generate extremely small black holes. Some fear these mini-black holes could merge and become one big black hole that would swallow up the earth and perhaps our solar system.

The vast majority of physicists though will tell you that, just as cute little kittens and man eating lions come from the same cat family, any black holes generated here would be harmless.

Similar particle collisions happen millions of times every day, they say. It's just that with this massive machine, it's the first time we'll be able to observe them.

Sorry

I can't really blog so much this whole week probably, there'll be bunch of tests this week and I need to study. So here is a neat video. (=

Well I'll post another video next time also. I don't have the time to type things up really. )= I will soon once this week is over though! :)

Sht hwk.

LOL.

Writing an essay sucks ass, but I mean thank goodness I'm almost finished with it. I just need a conclusion & i'm done! =] But crap must figure out my japanese homework. I really hate grammar, but I kinda get it... it's just a btch. D:<

Here's a video to entertain you kay?

This is MUCH better than Hole in the Wall, that American show sucks ass. This one is the original! :']

Yukky day.

So I couldn't post on why i dislike republicans or democrats, because i feel way too lazy. But it will be up soon enough. : D

Um, nothing important. Went to a ccd meeting which was kind of annoying. Then library which was also annoying.

& finally i finished the book i bought. (=
Time to read my bro's book about soccer. <33

LOL.

So like after astronomy class, I was walking to the bus stop and saw a small chipmunk or squirrel. I don't know what it was, but I guess when I saw it and it saw me it threw the small acorn nut at the car near him then ran away.

LOL.

That was a very rare moment to see. I chuckled and decided to tell Marbin about this. Guess what? He laughed also. <3

I think this old lady saw it to, but ignored it. Poor chipmunk like thing, it threw away it's food at a big machine that can accelerate very fast. x 'D

Oh yeah, on my next blog I'll post ten reasons why I really strongly dislike Republicans and Democrats. Liberals or Conservatives. Whatever, to me they are bunch of snotty people that think they know everything. : D

USB GONE?!

Shit.

Shit.

Shit.

I lost my USB. I feel like an idiot. I LOVE my USB and now I lost it. It had EVERYTHING from senior exhibition to my essay that's due wednesday. I feel fked and sad. Very, VERY sad...*Sigh* I want my USB back ... my OLD one. I don't care if i'm borrowing my brothers 4GB USB that he's lending to me until I get a new one. I WANT my old one NOW. I had all my work I put on today ... ALL of it. Now I have to RESTART my essay again. So I feel FKED.

I'm in a very bad mood.

Sour mood. = w=;... GRRR.

But I mean, I didn't find out until I was like a block away home. So I couldn't go back. Shit. /swt

Anyway, I saw a church friend of mine: Lucky. She goes to SFSU now, so I might see her sometimes on my way back home. Dunno really, she asked me if I was going to go to the retreat again as a leader. But I think I'm stepping down so someone else ( maybe better? ) can step in. So I'm currently undecided to go or not to go. > .>;;

Funny. I met a person whose republican ( and I mean HARD CORE republican ) and yet he's one of those that have done premarital sex . How hypocritical ...? LOL. I bet he's a fake republican person. : 'D

Then again democrats are hypocrites too.

Never trust the government. EVER. No matter where you live, never trust it!

Drawing :3

It's so cute right?

I love it!

R i i D r o p l e t t e made this for me. I didn't ask for it she just did it. 0 w0;; PROPS GOES TO HER. <33

Looks so pretty... I wish senpai would draw again and I can order him to draw me stuff...

LOL... then again... it could be why senpai just left art alone now. D': I feel sad. I want avi art now. Haha, but I'm satisfied with this also. It's just so damn adorable. <3 I wish I had artistic talent.

Tch.

All I can do is make professional stick figures. But they're cool awesome professional stick figures!

Sheesh...

Well anyway, must go finish Japanese homework and essay for english. I just want to finish and feel good after. <333 Haha. I'm such a nerd, but I want to feel the freedom bliss! ; D

We made PEACE.

We aren't angry at each other anymore. O wO;
So yeeeys~
Although I do feel bad for what I did and hopefully he forgives me.
Hmm...
We are now both at peace and let it stay that way for a long long time.
Or else I will be very upset and sad of course.

> 3>; I shall now go kiss my teddy bear since it needs some loving. <33

Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZORIN CARLOS.
Although I do not agree with his new addiction; smoking and drinking.
Tsk. tsk.
Boys are sometimes very very stupid. @ w@;
I pity them sometimes, not really. They get so confused thanks to girls.
Poor poor boys. <33
